Giavanna Desai

Dr. Giavanna Desai earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Eastern Illinois University and went on to complete her clinical doctorate at Illinois State University. She completed her 4th year residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine: Otolaryngology Clinic in Springfield, IL.

Dr. Desai enjoys working with all populations and has a variety of clinical experience including private practice, ENT, and in-home aural rehabilitation. These environments allowed her to provide communication strategies, cochlear implant mapping, vestibular evaluations, tinnitus evaluations, ABR, and hearing aid fittings and follow ups. Dr. Desai wanted to go into a field that gave her the opportunity to make an immediate change in someone’s life. She loves getting to know her patients and being able to support them. She finds this profession incredibly rewarding as nothing compares to seeing a person’s life immediately change with a hearing device.

Outside of the office, Dr. Desai enjoys listening to podcasts, hiking with her husband, exploring new coffee shops, and snuggling with her dog.
